The CSS Trappist Monastery got a few more design submissions yesterday, along with a boat load (think Titanic, but hold the iceberg!) of traffic after it got blogged over at MetaFilter. To those who questioned the seriousness of the site in the comments there, yes, it's completely serious. To those who commented on the crappy 12 images, I know they're crappy. The point of the Monastery is to see what can be done without images. The 12 are an extremely minimal concession. I have no expectation of the site rising to the level of beauty found in the CSS Zen Garden, but I do expect some very clever use of CSS to emerge.
