A few phrases I am wont to use with my one year old:

When he’s screaming during a meal: “Less whine, more dine!”
When he’s screaming at bedtime: “Less scream, more dream!”
When he’s screaming rather than communicating: “Less squawk, more talk!”

He’s a great little boy, but it’ll be nice when he learns to talk…until he starts playing 20,000 questions!
