One more update: It occurred to me that I might run into trouble with PayPal if I start issuing a gazillion partial refunds, so I’m not going to be making a form where you can pay full price and then get a partial refund after verification of upgrade eligibility.

I will be making a form for paying just the upgrade price, and I’ll email CaRP 4.0 out as soon as I can verify upgrade eligibility. That will be ready by tomorrow.

Update: I got back from Utah this morning, and am working on getting ready for this release.

I’ve made two change to the above plans:

* There will not be an option to upgrade to CaRP Koi 4.0.

* CaRP Koi 3.x buyers will be able to upgrade to Evolution 4.0 for $17, regardless of whether they’ve purchased Grouper Evolution or not.

Having both Koi and Evolution just makes tracking who’s got what and answering support questions too much more complicated, and the additional features in Evolution are so much better that I think everyone will be much happier if they upgrade anyway.

Also, I’ll be making some improvements to my sales and checkout process before releasing the upgrade, so it’ll take a few more days than originally planned. At the moment, I’m shooting for a March 3 release.
