Hey! I realize this post is three years old, but thought I'd throw a question at you nonetheless. I've been searching (without luck) for an answer to a related Google question: Why does Google display dates by some search listings, and is there anything we can do to control that? For example, on an e-commerce site, there's no advantage in having a potential customer know that the main page of your site was written a couple years ago... any thoughts?

Thanks for this article, it's good stuff.
