The electronic crystal ball has shown me two words: "giant sponge". I see radio waves (they're generally much thicker and more frizzy around the edges than I had imagined). I see children. I see money! The future becomes clear.

Inspired by current events and a number of radio and television programs, the FCC will unveil a new mascot to enlist children as media decency monitors. Brodie the Broadcast Sponge (name inspired by Bubba the Love Sponge, which recently earned its producers a fine for airing indecent material) will be in appearance a cross between Barney and Sponge Bob Square Pants. The FCC will run 30 second spots in which Brodie does a little song and dance and urges children to "call me at 1-800-SPONGEY when you see naughty things on TV, and help me soak up MONEY for the FCC! Yipee!"

Can this future be avoided? This I cannot foresee, but we can only hope so!
